Here is a screenshot of the map editor I've been working on this week. It uses the alpha Python curses library for Win32 and was very quick to code up. It has just about all the features I want, so soon I will be able to draw the wilderness map for the Prologue! Eventually there will be more terrain types, but those eleven are all I've needed so far.
It is not meant to be a total editor for the fixed wilderness files, just something that will remove some of the tedium of making the maps.
