This was the first screenshot I took of the game, showing a glimpse of a very early version of the engine.

The cave generator creates caves that are filled in with a lot of pillars, and I might tweak that to make the caves more open. Lighting works, as does monster LOS (although the algorithm used for both has since been gutted).

There is no combat at this point, all the monsters do is follow the player around.
